On this amazing excursion you will board a modern 5-6 passenger turbine helicopter for a voyage to the world famous Mendenhall Glacier! Arrive at the heliport to be fitted into a pair of glacier boots and presented with a safety briefing by our attendants.
Soar over wetland habitat, alpine ridges, and thriving rain forests to the awe-inspiring glacier. Cruise effortlessly above twisted ice spires and deep blue crevasses that dominate the glacier.
Gaining altitude, you may pass the Mendenhall Towers - rock sentinels that escalate 3,000 feet above the glaciers. Gently land on this moving river of ice and take in the breathtaking scenery, while experiencing Alaska's outdoor serenity.
Continue on your flight as it showcases the opportunity for you to marvel at Suicide Icefalls, Nugget Spires, and several hanging glaciers that seem to flow off the Juneau Ice Field.
