Sail Date: 11/10/12
I have been on 5 cruises in my life, 3 different cruise lines and I can honestly say that never have I been on a ship worse than the Triumph.
To start Carnival only had four people working the check in desk, trying to check in thousands of people… needless to say checking in took around 3 hours.
When we reached our room our bathroom was obviously from the 70’s which is fine except it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned but twice since it was put in, and it produced a foul odor that would not go away. On a lighter note the shower had two temperatures: luke warm, and burn your skin off hot.
The food in the formal dining room was fine if the waiter got your order right, but be aware there was a two hour wait just to get your meal, not to finish it mind you, just to receive it.
The shows were awful, they made no sense, which would have been ok if the dancing had been good, but it wasn’t and the comedians dissapointing. They were humouros the first night but then they either repeated their preformances or went downhill from there.
The bedcover fell on the floor to reveal disgusting gross brown stains at the foot of the bed sheet.
The highlight of the cruise was then playing the Texans game on Sunday night on the big outdoor screen, but even that could not make up for the rest of the cruise.
Never have I ever wanted a vacation to end before, but after 2 days on the Triumph I couldn’t wait to get off and just go back to work, because even mind drudging labor is better than a sail on the trimpuh.
I have had succesful and enjoyable cruises on other carnival boats but I will never get on a cranival boat after this experience, and I suggest you do not either.
