Sail Date: 02/16/13
This is my 6th cruise, my husband's 5th, so we are not first time cruisers. We know what to expect..the great, the good, and the bad. We love to cruise, feel it is the best of all worlds for a great vacation, not complainers....usually...
First let me say this is a beautiful ship and would get back on it tomorrow if given the opportunity.. It is absolutely beautiful! There is so much to do..so much to enjoy.
The food...we all know the food on the Lido deck is always just so so...not bad..not great, but very do-able. Must haves are Guys Burgers, Blue Igauna, and the Bar-b-cue on deck 5 (only on sea days)...yummy! We did not get to the italian place, but have heard it's really good, maybe next cruise :-)
The "sky walk" at sports square was a blast, as was the water slides!
Our room steward was wonderful, she took very good care of us. The ship was always spotless.
Now to the buts... Missing Grand Turk, I do understand the weather situation. But when the staff (to my husband) tells you that they only make it into that port 1 time out of 3, it's time to take it off "port" list. I did contact Carnival regarding that...customer service was very rude to the fact "that is just not true"...really well my husband was not the only one that was told that on this cruise by staff members.
The "Chair Hogs"...it was absolutely the worst I have ever seen on this cruise...I watch 3 wonderful comfy loungers (2nd level) for 2 hours with only towels and books on them..after the first hour I ask a pool attendant to put a time sticker on it...he did not. After the 2nd hour I ask a pool stewards (there were 3 standing together) to remove and bag the belongings so that it would free up the 3 loungers...nope..they all scattered like I was asking them to do something illegal. So I gently set the items on a table, it took another hour before the owners of the towels showed up...but you saw it all over the ship...if your not going to enforce the rule then do not say your going to...everyone knows your not!
Third...this is for the parents whose children ran freely and wildly all over the ship, pressing all the elevator buttons, almost knocking elderly people down, punching/fighting with each other...shame on you! Did you not see how many elder people was on this curise, did you not see the elderly in their wheelchairs. Or do you just not care as long as it didn't interferr with you fun. What about everyone else who paid for cruise. When brought to guest services attention they stated they could do nothing about it until security caught them in the act...
Again, as I stated I would go on this ship again, it's beautiful, it's fun and it's clean! Loved the Breese!
