We just came back from a week long cruise on the Legend. We were notified just days before we were to leave that there was a problem with the boat (broken azipod) which meant it could not travel at full speed and they had to change our itinerary. We lost out on the Caymans which was our highlight. We were going with a group and figured we'd make the best of it. We thought with 4 ships that had problems within one month's time we would at least be treated like royalty with the crew providing top notch customer service in order to convince us we made the right decision in not canceling our trip. We did have a great cabin steward and one of the waiters in the dining room at night was outstanding. Other than those two, it seemed like we were an inconvenience to pretty much every crew member on board. Some evening waiters were downright surly, lunch in the dining room was delivered cold, breakfast in the dining room took forever (an hour before eggs came- but they were hot) and we had to get up and find our own coffee as the waiters were no where to be found. Bar tenders (other than one) were not friendly. When looking at purchasing pictures taken during the cruise we found the photo staff to be rude when we asked questions about packages "didn't you read the flyer?" In walking around the ship, rarely did a crew member greet you in passing (with the exception of our steward and his assistant who always acknowledged us with a smile and warm greeting). You felt primarily ignored. Members of our party commented that they had never seen so many lines as they encountered on this boat - you waited for everything! We have cruised before but never on Carnival and we will NEVER cruise with Carnival again. We had a group of 8 traveling together and made the best of it having fun together and in the ports so our vacation was not ruined but none of us will return to Carnival. Very disappointed in this company.
