Sail Date: 04/01/11
11 of us booked four rooms, three room on the 1st floor, and one room on the fourth floor. The ship was very nice, and the staff was very pleasant. However, there was a problem with bed bugs. All 11 of us had multiple bites that resembled mosquito bites. When we were on the ship, we thought that we got mosquito bites from Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo. After getting back and looking up the pictures of the bite spots on the internet, they were confirmed as bed bug bites. All of us have multiple bites spots that lined up in a straight line. It was explained on one of the bed bug internet sites that when we twiched while asleep, the bed bug that was feeding would jump to the next spot in a straight line. Mosquito bites don't do that. I also found out that bed bug bites don't show up until several days later. That explained that the first series of bites did not show up until we got to Manzanillo, our first stop. We live in San Diego, and boarded the ship from home. None of us ever had these bites before. On the ship, we also noticed at least 6 other guest that have similar bites.
I am not trying to start any flame war. We actually really liked the trip and Carnival staffs. I hope Carnival take care of the bed bug problems.
