We cruised on the Magic for a week and had an awesome time. We booked a balcony stateroom (7420) and found it to be well layed out for the space. For the 2 of us, there was plenty of storage space inside the the 3 closets and the drawers in the vanity. The bed itself is high enough off of the floor that we could store our 4 empty suitcases under it (we don't travel light). The room was clean and the bed soft and comfortable. There was a sofa and small coffee table in the room but we didn't use them much. There are 2 - 110v outlets in the room which we found to be adequate. An unplanned benefit of the location of our room was its close proximity to the aft elevators and the Lido deck buffet. We found the buffet more convenient to eat meals at since we didn't want to wait in line for the dining room.
The ship in general was kept clean even though there were a lot of spring breakers on board. Hats off to the restaurant staff (those we saw and those that worked behind the scenes) It did tend to get noisy at times but then again it was spring break. There were plenty of onboard entertainment options ranging from shows in the showtime theater to movies on the tv in each room. So, whether you wanted the mingle or relax in the privacy of your room, there is something to suit you.
Our cabin steward, Jalena was amazing. When we travel, we don't always take advantage of housekeeping services. Jalena was always ready when we needed her to take care of us. Choose an even numbered room on deck 7, around 7420 and you will probably get Jalena as your steward. Be prepared to be well taken care of.
