This is my first cruise and I have so many questions.  I'll keep it short for now.  We are cruising on the Freedom May 16th to Key West, Grand Caymens and Jamaica.

      1.  Does anyone know what the weather will be like in May?  Do we need to bring jackets for the evenings?

      2.  Are there 2 formal nights and does anyone know which nights they are?

      3.  How much does it cost to check email/facebook in the internet cafe?

I'm sure I will have more questions later, but that's it for now.  Feel free to leave any advice or tips!

I was on a cruise in May seven years ago and sailed to the western Caribbean and Key West and if I remember correctly, it was HOT!  My suggestion however, is to go to the weather channel on your computer and around the middle to end of April and check out the 30 day forecast for May.

As for formal nights, since your cruise is Sunday to Sunday, they will probably be on a Monday and Friday.

I took this cruise in Jan.  The formal nights are Tues and Thurs..  While you probably won't need jackets outside during the day, it does get windy up on the deck, so you may want something just in case.  They do keep the air conditioning set low, so you may want a sweater for the dining room or for the shows.

The Freedom is a beautiful ship.  There are lots of places to eat during the day.  The Fish and Chips is on the very aft on Deck 11 (if you don't know about these places, it would be easy to miss.  Also, if you like Sushi, they serve it every evening (except night of the Captains Dinner...Tues) from 5 to 8 (?)  This is located on Deck 5, midship.  It is near the Future Travel Desk.  If you go to the top of this page to Ships and  On Board you can pull up the deck plan for your ship.  It will give you a good "feel" of the layout and make it easier to find your way around even before you board.  Have a great time!

Internet fees can work in a variety of ways.  The pay as you go is 75 cents per minute with a $3.95 activation fee.  You can also buy blocks of time.  As I understand it the cost was $55 for one hour of internet.  Please keep in mind also that internet connections are slower than a stateside dial up account.

My wife and I are taking this cruise in 3 weeks -- my daughter has a friend that works on the Disney ships and informs us that the weather in Key West will be in the 80's in April and probably the same in May with alittle more humidity -- the other 2 stops will be in the high 80's -- onboard you may want a sweater for the evening hours (my wife always does) -- other than that have fun and Happy cruising -
