We cruised out of NYC this past May and enjoyed it very much. . It was kind of pricey: $280.00 for parking and $ 154.00 for a hotel in Jersey the night before.
Wow, $280 for parking? That is a little steep just to park. I thought the $105 in Baltimore was rough. If I actually liked NY, I could easily go out of there. It is a 5 hour drive from here, but my dad lives at the top of NJ, so I could stay at his house and get a ride to the port.
I didn’t realize the issue with the port in Bermuda being so small. I was wondering why more ships did not go there. I saw that some other cruise lines had ships going there, but they are so much more pricey than Carnival. I like Carnival because I can get a decent cruise for a good price, and still have money to put into savings. I just want to go somewhere different. We have been on a Bahamas, West Caribbean, East Caribbean, Exotic Western Caribbean and now another Bahamas. We really don’t like the Bahamas, but are taking the cruise because we like to be on the ship. I would love to go to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic eventually, but that involves flying to Miami and that would add at least $400 to my trip.
Carnival can just add Key West to the Baltimore or Norfolk and I would be a little happier. Please drop the Port Canaveral.
