I'm told by those who have cruised this itinerary before, that boarding can occur as early as 11:30am. And, yes, you can go back to port after checking into your cabin.  Go to port, have a great time, but be sure to make it back for the Meet and Greet at 8pm (aft bar on the Lido deck).

OMG 17 more days until we are in PR. This is the first time I have not started packing a month prior...I have ordered some new tops... Next week I have to get a new suit and some capris and shorts - I am way too busy at work to start packing. I cannot wait for vacation!!! I cannot wait to meet everyone at the Meet & Greet. We signed up for the Chef's Table Dinner - they responded and I cannot tell if it is the first night - hoping it is not during the meet and greet. Tomorrow is 16 days...as I said, I may try karaoke on ship --> no laughing at me. Woohoo - can't wait to go!!!

  how very true!  We are super excited also!  You will be very impressed with the "chef's table" dinner!  Hubby & I did it last year and WOW!  It's hard to find words to explain it but it is just amazing!

Michelle, It'll be fun...and no one will be laughing (except when my buddy Don sings...and you'll know why SOON!)! Always remember, you'll never see the folks onboard at your next local event! Chances are NONE of them will cross paths again. So sing your heart out and just have fun with it....it's NOT AMERICAN IDOL  you know! Try it...you'll be glad you did! At least it will be one more thing off the bucket list!

Okay - I do not think I have been this excited on my previous cruises!! I am looking forward to the Meet and Greet - you all seem like a great group of people. Looking forward to watching karaoke - that has always been my favorite to watch. Looking forward to Chef's Dinner. Also, I upgraded our room to a balcony from an inside. Of course, the rate went down significantly days that followed and they will not give us an onboard credit.  :( They will upgrade us to a higher floor,  but we have a premium extended balcony. If they "upgraded" us we would have balcony width of room rather than length. I guess I was willing to pay the price - so I should quit complaining. I cannot wait to sit on my balcony and enjoy some  good wine... Mmmmm a nice cold Moscato or Riesling on a warm day. Yummy!!

Michelle, Yes even Carnival allows you to bring two bottles of wine onboard, as long as you remember to transfer them to your ship bag carry-on after you leave the airport baggage claim. Sounds like a nice deal with the extended balcony - is it aft, corner?

Rick, it is Michelle and Cherie - from La Crosse, WI and Madison, WI and we are in our mid 40's.

Yes, corner aft for the extended balcony - not sure if we will travel with wine or pick up in Puerto Rico. There is always the duty free shop at the port...not sure if they will have the wine we want though.
