      Panama Canal Tour from Colon

        Any feedback on the "Panama Canal Tour" would be helpful.  Just read the The Path Between the Seas by David McCullough and am really excited about seeing the canal.  Our ship docks in Colon for the day and the the "Panama Canal Tour" is offered as an all day tour which appears to be at least a partial transit, but most importantly through the Culebra Cut (Continental Divide).  Sounds like what I want to see, but would really appreciate feedback from those who have been on this tour.  Thank you!

        We had signed up for the tour that was a train ride across Panama then boat ride back through the canal.  But due to a power outage on our ship, we were delayed into Panama, and the tour boat couldn't get another time slot to transit.  So we didn't get to go, we did take tour and saw the locks, but really wanted to cruise the canal.  If you decide to go on it I hope it is everything you could have hoped for and more.

        Some day I will book a cruise with a panama canal transit.

        I have never been there,but I have seen some posts on panama canal online.So,it seems a very beautiful place for visiting and I think,who are fond of visiting the places,they should visit there at least once.It would be great experience for them.

        The Carnival Miracle is going to do a Panama Canal transit next year when it moves to the West Coast.  15 days NY to LA through the canal on March 16, 2013.
