I don't usually have a problem with sea sickness, but my Dh does at times. He always gets an OTC drug for motion sickness like Bonnine or such and takes one on the way to the Port. He has also used the patches behind the ear. Both have worked well for him. A lot of folks on the threads say the Sea band works well. Most of the time you don't even know you are moving unless you have some rough Sea's which can happen. They used to have the pill's in a basket at the Guest service desk for free if you feel queasy, but haven't checked lately since we usally just take our own. Also, since this is your first Cruise, just an FYI,your room on the Ship can make a difference in the motion. Usually Mid-Ship lower level feel's less movement. I think you will be fine, and will be too busy having a great Cruise, as there is so much to do,to even notice. P.S. The best sleep I have had was compliements of the rocking motion .Hope you enjoy and have calm Sea's and fair winds!!
