There´s a place where fun people gather to share ideas and opinions. And that place is the forums. Good thing you're here!
My son looked at the Car museum tour as well. Still trying to figure out what everyone wants to do. We are from Cookeville, TN. Half way between Nashville and Knoxville on I-40. We will be driving, yes I said driving, down. The prices of the airline tickets were goign to cost more than the cruise. What fun it is going to be with 6 kids!
My husband and I will be on this cruise; our third with Carnival. We're going on the Dunns River Falls/Beach and Parasailing excursions. We are from Indiana, about 40 miles from Chicago. We're excited about our cruise!
Hi Seepa, Welcome to the Roll Call,Dunns River Falls sounds fun, i would love to go to the falls but the hubby has other ideas. The clock is ticking very slowly for this cruise October can't get here fast enough for me!
Road Trip huh, enjoy lol. If the Air Fare doesn't go down i may be hitch hiking!
Hello Ladies!!! i would love to join the roll call! This will be mine and my husband's FIRST cruise!!! Yay!! We are coming from Kentucky. We haven't decided if we are going to fly or drive yet. We would love to fly but the prices are so expensive. Does any one have any tips for finding cheaper flights? And what about flying in the day of? I have heard bad things about this but it will save us $ if we don't have to book a hotel room for the night before. Or maybe there are deals if you book the hotel and flight together? Oh I know I am full of questions but like I said, first timers:).
Welcome MstKY! Check Allegiant Air. They fly out of Lexington and into Ft. Lauderdale. They are only booking flights right now through August. Looks like they have some flights going to Ft. Lauderdale in August for 86.00 and coming back for 73.00. Not too bad, you can also book hotel with the flight. If you fly with Allegiant Air you would want to make sure you fly the day before, they have a habit of delaying flights.
Thanks for the tip because thats who we were looking at going through. I definitely do not want to miss our first cruise due to the fact that our flight go canceled.
Hi, I got a good deal on my return flight from southwest, now i just gotta hold out for a sale on the way there, yep i bought a one way ticket, lol. You can get decent hotel prices using priceline or hotwire.
So I'm just wondering how things are on the Destiny. I've heard that this ship is one of the more "fancy" ships. Just wondering if anyone has been on it before and what style of clothing that you would suggest. I know that we will have a formal night and that night has set guidlines but what about just every other night's dinner? Is it ok if my hubby wears shorts or does he need to always be in khakis? Also, I know that flip flops are not acceptable on the formal night in the MDR but what about the other nights? And so sorry if these questions are answered somewhere else but if you will just let me know where to find the answers let me know.
Thanks in advance!
Hi, Other than formal night the dress code is laid back, I would not wear shorts but khakis and polos would be fine, The Destiny is not a fancy ship, Just wear what you like and you should be fine.
