My family and I will be sailing Apr 16th on the Destiny. This will be our first cruise ever! To be honest, I am just as worried as I am excited. There seems to be so much planning that needs to be done, from our flight to the excursions & dining arrangements.
So, I booked our flight for early Monday (the 16th) morning leaving from JFK New York City and we are scheduled to arrive in Miami around 11:30am. I should have read the tips on arriving the day prior before booking my flight but now since it's all said and done...should I be concerned about boarding on time?
And the excursions, I'm getting such a headache with because since it's our first time we were thinking maybe it's safer to book them through Carnival but BOY is it pricey! I was wondering does anyone know if booking them when we get to port will actually save us a decent amount of money.
Any recommendations on what excursions to book for a family that loves the sun and beach & dipping our feet but not such great swimmers?
And lastly, would someone be so kind to let me know of any cheap (but quick) taxi's or transportation to get from Miami International Airport to the Port of Miami?
Thanks again! Hope to see you all soon!
