hey all, Were going too! , my husband and I took this same cruise 2 years ago for our honeymoon and going again for our anniversary-baby moon. Super excited and this cruise is soooo convenient to us in Va beach. For those who have not been ( a quick review) to Nassau if you leave the dock and walk around senior frogs and about another block or two down the road my husband and i found a great private local beach. They also had a guy serving beer and fresh daiquiris. As of freeport it kind of *** so if your gonna get off the boat book an excursion. We didnt so ended up catching a death cab as i like to call it and went to the main shopping area/ beach. Very pretty but port wise freeport you need a excursion or you will end up trying to find a cab. Nassau is great with out an excursion or with one, we spent one day last time scuba diving- booze cruise, then another we went shopping, senior frogs, and found the private beach. Shopping in Nassau you must haggle down especially on the brand name purses...most want like 80 and if i paying 80 i want real coach. Most will haggle down to 40 ish, Either way this is a great cruise with great port of calls. The shows on the boat are a must, especially the newlywed show, it so funny. Dinner- go to the main dinning room, it is soooo delicious, and he service is great. For the women bringing the 5 year old girl and the 12 year old, check out tea time usually sea day around 3 in the main dining room, its free we usually bring a couple of dollars for tip. Room service is included , just tip. The pizza is amazing and i gained 10 pounds last cruise from it. For adults going the Serenity area is sooooo nice and quiet. Show early to port, there is a little traffic but nothing to crazy. If your local you may want to have someone drop you off and pick you up to avoid paying for parking, especially since it is in norfolk. We had a friend drop us off last time, and show up around 11 to pick us up. We were last off, because of our disembarking number, But it worked great for us cause we got to spend a few more minutes relaxing on the boat before our 20 minute ride home. If you have any questions feel free to ask me, i love cruising this will be cruise number 4 for me and my second time taking this cruise!
