Don't worry about it - they've got PLENTY of time to get everything cleaned up before you get there!! We went to Freeport and Nassau in 2004, 3 weeks after a hurricane tore through both places. You could see damage, mostly in Freeport, in the outlying areas, but the tourist places were fine. They build differently on the islands and are used to this type of weather, so it really doesn't affect the cruise ships that much. I live in coastal SC, and see more damage here when we get hit than I did in the Bahamas. Also, December should be late enough in the season that you shouldn't have to worry about actually ENCOUNTERING a storm - my gut tells me that the season is just about over this year. So relax, don't worry. Enjoy the anticipation and then enjoy the cruise!!
