Hi You two! (And all other lurkers!) Wonderful to hear from you also! Decided since we have now been initiatiated into a very select group of sailors that it was time to come and say Hi to all you "slimy pollywogs" as we are now "trusted shellbacks" the differnece being one group of us has crossed the equator at sea - the other hasn't - you slimy pollywogs you!!! We crossed over at exactly 9.44pm the night before last and celebrated on deck with 2198 other guests and about 1000 crew. King Neptune visited along with the captain his officers and various addons who were all baptised with buckets of porridge and then ceremoniously hosed off! It was a hillarious night and one we will not forget for many a long day.
Once again we are making lots of lovely new friends - some really fun folk! We are becoming adept chacha dancers, samba, tango and swing are all being given a good go! We, as a twosome, were almost champions of the musicals quizz - missing only the last question - darned Lion King!! Knew the melody but not the words so couldn't work out the title as a consequence!!! - but we are in a team of 5 who are leaders in the trivial pursuit daily competition - have another three days to go but they will be after our Tahitian days - which begin with Papeete tomorrow! At present we are five points ahead so who knows where it might end!
Now gold card members and were invited to the Captains cocktail party last night - awesome cocktails I might add! got our cruise badges and special priviledges so are pretty happy chappies. Meantime B is in icecream heaven with them available 24/7 while I am in lactose hell! Enjoying the copious amounts and continually available food but in contolled portions being very disciplined I am proud to say so I don't think we will get off having gained a kg a day - as apparently some do. No surprise when you see what some consume. We are feeling pretty confident we haven't gained but may have even lost - which is great considering we haven't been swimming the way we thought we would and there are no pilates!! Dancing is very good exercise I might add!
So we are well, enjoying ourselves and still chasing relaxation! - but heck we have another 12 days to go so should achieve it - only one downer - we miss you and wish you were all here too.
Lots and lots of that loverly love - hugs and xxxx Don't forget us!!!!
