So excited for my family's VERY soon FIRST cruise, ever!
I'm in the middle of completing our online check-in, but confused about the Onboard Expense Account portion.
Ideally, we would like to NOT connect our credit card to the account. Since we are traveling with four (teenage and ***) children who have saved their own money for their sail and sign accounts, it would - by far - simplify matters to just handle each account in cash when we board. However, I was under the impression that we HAVE to attach a debit or credit card; no? And if not... then how does carnival charge the pre-paid tips? I previously read that they automatically charge the tips unless you ask them not to. If we have a cash account, does this mean we can just get on the ship with each family member's cash, have each of our kids put their money on their account, pay the prepaid tips up front and never have to mess with our credit/debit cards?
