yea, that would upset me too...charging a higher price is really not a fair thing to do. Too bad. Hope you get something worked out.
Me too. I would find Carnival not honoring my price, as "adding insult to injury" upon cancelling my booking for the benefit of another customer.
I would have hoped that Carnival would have allowed re-booking on another cruise, with the same or similar itinerary, at the exact same price. Its really, really, bad for Carnival to not. A good company certainly would have.
Plus, I would have expected Carnival to throw in a substantial OBC just for all the inconvenience. A good company would have.
Let me add, that what happened to the OP is certainly something completely within Carnival's control.
