Dec 21: 8:00 a.m. END OF THE MAYAN CALENDAR AND END OF THE WORLD:
I bought the black sparkley tights at that Kid store in the mall, but there is an extra small pair in one of your drawers that Grace wore when she was 3 that she has outgrown. She is now in a 5-7 size.
We were back in Progreso on the 19th. I ran into our same tour guide we had 5 days before. We took the same excursion (almost) -- just the beach part of it. We did not do the salt flats and the flamingos, and Mayan ruins again. We had 2.5 hours to hang out at the beach instead of 1. All for $15, plus I gave him a tip of $10. He said I was the only person to give him a tip on either one of the two trips we went on. As cheap as that tour is, what's with all the Scrooges? Lol
Remember, I told you about requesting a room change and being told none available. I even offered to pay for a balcony upgrade for #2. We were tired of that cabin. Much vibration and engine noise. They told me to call them and report when all that noise was going on. What for I don't know, because there were no rooms so what were we going to do other than report. Well leaving Progreso, the ship got after the noise and vibration and I called. Person from the Service Desk came to check it out. She agreed she could feel it long before she got to our cabin. She called back in about 20 min and they moved us to a balcony upgrade. I said how much, and she said no charge. LOL. So we will have 3 nights and 2 days in that cabin. It felt like moving from Shawn's house to mine! LOL
Dec 20. Yesterday was Cozumel. We had a 5 hour island tour. totally wore us out. Grace was barely able to stay awake for dinner. We stopped at a public beach for a look-see (beautiful), then we stopped at Mr. Sanchos where Grace petted the horses. Looked at some of the shops those pesky vendors want you to look at. Seemed to make them happy. I bought a $5 tee shirt for Grace and a Picture. Then we were off to Puenta Sur. Gosh what a beautiful place. We went up in the lighthouse and played in the water at the beach, and visited the Crocidille (sp) area. Saw one.
Then around the East Coast of the island to Coconuts! (Mack will be proud). Bought a margarita to go. He said they are better than mine. Not. But much tequila in it. Then off to restaurant for free meal with price of tour. My guide did not speak English very well and I occasionally had a hard time understanding him. We were not very hungry and did not near eat all our food. He asked if he could take it home to his family. I said sure. LOL LOL!
Woke up today with very rough seas. Grace got sick shortly after waking. I think she is having her first case of motion sickness. I gave her 1/2 of a Medemeclizine (like that). Not recommended for children under 12. Think she is feeling better.
We gotta go to the bathroom so we are off for now.
Oh, I can buy a future cruise and get a coupon for 2 cabins to book that same cruise and get the $100 off each. Be a good deal for yall to book that Aug cruise.
Be back later.
