Today is Monday, 2/4/13, our first Fun Day at Sea (that's what Carnival calls it.)
We had dinner in the Main Dinning Room (MDR) last night. We ate with Micky and Ralph at a table that was by a window looking at the gangway. There was nobody getting on or off, but we just sat at the dock. It was after 8:00 PM before we left port. Because of all the delays boarding the dinning times were all moved back. We were not allow to eat until after the safety briefing. But, it all worked out.
After dinner we went to the comedy club for a family friendly show. Linda and Micky went ahead to save our seats while Ralph and I went to our respective rooms to fix drinks. I used the water glasses that are in the cabins for wine and each glass held half a bottle of wine. So, I had to go down 5 levels and to the other end of the ship without spilling the wine.
After the show we headed back to our room and watched TV until we went to bed at little after 10:00 PM.
Oh, while we were waiting for our dinner to be served I walked to the lounge to check on the score and found that SF had managed to score a few TD's since the light came back on in the stadium. While I was there I got to meet two of the ladies who are in the Production Show: Tanner, the singer from Kentucky and Lisa from Australia. I was also able to make contact with Brian, the drummer for the show band. Brian's Mom asked me to get some pictures of him while on the cruise. I hope I can find the contact info for her.
We awoke at 6:23 AM, which is 9:23 back home. It will take us a while to get use to the time change. But, we aren't doing badly. I dresses quickly and went to guest services to check lost and found. I hate to admit it, but I left Chip's Kindle Fire in the main show lounge. Thank goodness someone turned it in. I headed up to the Lido deck to get a couple glasses of water to take back to the cabin. I ran into Lou (lousk) as he was wearing his SASA shirt. He said he had the shirt on the day before and had not met a single Roll Caller.
Outside it is misty and foggy with a temp in the mid-50's. Hopefully it will warm up as the day progresses and head further south.
We are heading to breakfast now and to see what is going on today. Later, John
