I'm confused because this is the first time I've seen this. From past cruises, I never paid an additional price per day for fwd, mid or aft.
It has been there before now.
It varies according to ship, category and deck though.
One thing that is new is that the 1A's now have up-charges that were not there before.
We book balconies and that extra charge has been there before now.
The lowest category is the base fare then anything beyond that is where the up-charges come from.
Be sure to read through the NEW terms and conditions of the new rates before booking so you understand what is what with them.
Prime example when using Past Guest Rate after final payment they no longer honor free upgrades when there are price drops.
