We are headed to Nassau in June. We would love to see Atlantis, I was excited when Carnival's website said prices were quite low for the full day Aqua Adventure. However, when I went to book, the price jumped up by a TON.
I have two kids, 10 and 7. Two parents, pushing 70. When the price was showing $115 per person (lower for the kids), we thought we would all do it, my parents could watch the kids, we could all do the lazy river, hang out on the beach, etc. etc. Now, it will be over $1000 for all of us. Yikes!
My 10 year old is not a big adventurer anyway, he may or may not do the slides there. My 7 year old probably would. Husband and I could take 'em or leave 'em. My parents would rather just walk around and look at things and watch us. We would all enjoy the aquariums, etc. (Not sure what all is there??)
So I guess my questions are:
1. We really want to see Atlantis. Is there a cheaper way to get there? Do you have to pay admission just to see stuff? If so, what do you get to see?
2. Is it crazy there in June? The excursion wouldn't even leave until 9:30 and the ship leaves Nassau at 5. Sounds like a lot of money for not a lot of time. Waiting in lines and not getting the 'full benefit' of the offerings would just make me ticked after spending all that money!
3. Even looking at the Discover Atlantis / Beach packages, it seems like a lot of money??
But we really want to see Atlantis - and the waterpark would be a bonus!!..... Any thoughts????
Thanks for any input!!
