We were booked for this cruise over a year ago and now its been canceled !
We purchased our own flights at a cost of $2,297 and when we canceled these flights we were not told that we had credit for future travel.
Two problems here: We didn't know at the time that we would rebook a later cruise because we were traveling with two other couples and they said they would not rebook a cruise, We booked the cruise thru a Carnival Vacation Planner and when we contacted her three days after the canceled cruise, she said to cancel our flights. #2 Even with the credit for future travel with the airlines, these credit are over in Jan. 14, 2014 and we have no plans to travel prior to that date.
We have cruised with Carnival and it's other cruise lines 10 cruises.
NOW, Carnival is the ones that ruined all our plans and refuse to refund our air fares that were canceled !
We really don't care if the airlines didn't inform us of the options when we canceled, Carnival is still the people that caused all these problems!
If this is the way Carnival handles loyal customers, we will cruise with cruise lines NOT connected with Carnival Corp.
