Our first time cruising out of Baltimore is Sunday 10/13/2013. Noticed that the Ravens will be playing a 1:00 pm home game that same day. Can anyone advise about the traffic concerns we may run into on I-95 getting to the port?
I sailed out of Baltimore during a Ravens' home game just last year, and had no problems at all. Of course it also depends on how you are approaching the terminal. Are you coming North on I-95 or South?
Here's a map of the area (A is the stadium, the pier is just off the lower right-hand corner of the map). As you can see, they're close together but if you are on I-95 you can avoid a lot of the traffic.
If you're arriving from the north (Lower right on the map below), make SURE you are taking the Fort McHenry Tunnel, and you'll be at the pier a full five minutes before the exit to the stadium.
If you're arriving from the south, don't come up Route 295 (The Baltimore/Washington Parkway) because that DOES get congested. Instead come up I-95 (middle left on the map) and you should be fine.
