Will past Capers be the same as a current one, other than the dates? To what degree do they differ?
The past Capers should be very similar to what is current for a specific ship and cruise length. If nothing else, it will give you a good idea of what to expect on board. The ones you search out are probably more accurate than the sample Capers on the Carnival website as that one is very generic and not ship specific. Different ships offer different departure times from each port, different dining times, and shows and other activities might be staggered differently to accomodate dining times, etc. Daily activities and schedules will also vary based on the length of a cruise (1 formal night for shorter cruises, 2 for longer cruises), number of port days vs. sea days - and on and on.
The Capers can be changed at any time, just like anything else (restaurant menus, TV schedules, etc.)
Also, go to the Carnival FAQ's and check out everything there as well - there is a lot of great information including sample menus.
