Hi Again !!
Wife and I went on eastern cruise in Nov. and really had a bad time.
The boat rocked all the way down and back (I believe the stabalizer bar wasnt working properly, but could not get any one to confirm or deny it).
The hot chocolate was luke warm at best, when it was working, the food on the buffet was just above cold and only half of buffet was open and it seemed there was always 3-4 items that that they were out of.
The food was terrible, from what we were use to. After debarking the boat, we drove to the closest Denny's so we could have a good tasting, hot breakfast.
We skipped the last two nights in formal dining because we could not get our food hot or the way we ordered it
Our bed was worn out to the point that there was a "hole" in the middle of it that I kept rolling in to.
The music was pretty bad due to the fact that foreigners were trying to sing American songs with bad accents. (Here I have to give credit to the lead female singer of the nightly shows, she had a fantastic voice and looked pretty hot to boot)
At one port, the crew had started to paint the outside of the boat before we could disembark, and had to wait 10 minutes for them to move on.
I have complained to Carnival about these problems, and my travel agent at Carnival told me in Feb. that the Glory has had several personell changes and has new Captain.
Have been in touch with someone who lives nearby that went on Glory in March, and she said everything went smoothly. So I have to believe things have changed because we have the western cruise planned for New Years.
Please let me know how your trip turns out.
