I sailed on the Sensation August of 2004 out of Tampa to the Western Carribean. I never had an interest in cruising as I thought Carnival would be a drunk fest at best. I work in the hospitality industry for Hilton Hotels and I am particular regarding my accomodations , food quality, presentation and customer service to mention a few. When you represent quality you expect it elsewhere .I took this trip and promised myself if it did not pan out at least I gave it a try.
Wow, what a great time I had! The ship was clean and fresh in fact they were painting the jacuzzi on the back deck as we boarded. I knew before hand from the photos that the interior was for lack of a better word flashy or maybe even garish but away I went. When you are out in the middle of the sea at night you will understand that the colors lights and other decorations help brighten things and were well planned out to entertain the eye. I absolutly loved this ship and had the best vacation ever!! Service was friendly and the food was great. My room was upgraded to an ocaen veiw on the riviera deck and it was a treat. Carnival has gotten a bad rap in the past but I strongly urge you to go and enjoy. You will find something for every taste aboard this ship. You will not be board and it is a resort only floating in a sea of beautiful blue hues that i can not even begin to describe.Last year I sailed the Miracle( Truly wonderful time!) and this Sept. 3rd I sail the Destiny out of San Juan. Because I work in the Lodging industry I can go to most any hotel for my vacation but Carnival gives me a real BANG for my buck! Have a great trip and feel free to email me for any info at email@example.com if you are ever headed to Savannah Ga let me know as I am in love with my city and would be happy to give suggestions. Happy Cruising.
