wife & me have been on 30 cruises,12 on carnival, next one 0ct, 2010. Iam sure we will have a great time. we love carnival, but I think this may be our last cruise. new rules from carnival, takes the fun out of funship. I guess we will have to take land vacations. they would not invade our suitcases,or luggage. carnival is looking at there bottom line. and not what people, think of them.

they only reason that carnival would invade anyones luggage is if they happen to have something they are not allowed to have and it shows up when they scan the luggage,.... So just follow the rules and there is no problem.

Any airline you fly on can "invade" your luggage. Frankly I would rather Carnival keep me safe so I can have a good time on the "FUNSHIP".

Then all your vacations will be by car as twice I have opened a suitcase to find a love note form the TSA saying they opened my bag for futher inspection. I guess x-raying it was not enough.

New Rules? You mean the ones that prohibit contraband items, "free" alcohol (GASP, Horrors, Drinks )or all those annoying pesky regulations that make the Funships FUN (and keep them that way)? The rules are there for everybody's safety and comfort. Try flying ANYWHERE and see about intrusive searches. So, bottom line Music Music "So long, been glad to know ya, Bye bye!!" Music Music .

We just got back from the Sensation. One of our suitcases was held by security. Apparantly they thought they saw something on the x-ray. I went to security, opened the suitcase and, voila, nothing was wrong. After many apologies I took the suitcase to my stateroom. No big deal, my wife and I laughed about it.

Yes any company is looking at the bottom line,however in this case Carnival is looking at the safety of the ship and passengers. Get over yourself and enjoy your land vacations. Rules are inplace to make your Fun cruise fun and safe.
