        Calling all experienced cruisers.  Please help out the Newbies.  To make this as easy to read as possible I'm asking you to limit each post to ONE thing (and only one thing) that you wish you would have known prior to your cruise.  Also, if you could keep your post short (a sentence or two) I think that would make it easier for everyone to read this thread.  Feel free to make as many posts as you want.

        I think that unlike a hotel that the cabin (room) is not ready when you get on the ship. The ship is in transition as you board from the prior cruise. With that in mind if you plan on carrying your bags onto the ship know you will be lugging them around for a while this can be a small issue if you plan on eating lunch on the Lido Deck. So I would suggest minimize your carry-on ( check your bas as you can always carry off at the end of the cruise) so you can keep your hands free till the cabin is ready.

        Bring a snack bar or something in case you get hungry waiting to get on the ship and eat lunch.

        I wish I had known that lunch in the main dining room was absolutely delicious and a great alternative to the buffet.

        I wish I had known on our first trip to the Caribbean that I was going to be walking in ankle deep burning hot sand on the beaches!  I would have brought water shoes. Now I bring several pairs.  Jill

        I wish I had known on our first trip to the Caribbean that I was going to be walking in ankle deep burning hot sand on the beaches!  I would have brought water shoes. Now I bring several pairs.  Jill
