I called after our last cruise I asked customer service if I had earned anything from playing in the casino.  I was told no.  I asked because of the posts I had read about the others who had played in the casino and then called and they got some variouis bon voyage packages, for example the standard or premium bon boyage package.  So after I was told there was nothing and I specifically asked if there was another number I should call.  I was told no!  I knew I had seen it on these forums, so I looked it up.  I found the number for the Ocean Players Club and called it.  I told him I was wondering if I qualified for anything from my play on our last cruise.  He took my name and birth date.  He told me I DID qualify for a 'promo' package.  Which had champagne, bar coupons, photo coupon and chocolate covered strawberrys.  I gave him the sail date and name of the ship we would be sailing on next, in September.  He said it would be waiting on us when we arrive.  So that was a nice suprise.  What steams me up is that the first customer service guy offered me nothing, especially not even another phone number for someone who could possibly help me with my question.  Totally unwilling to help.  Shame on Carnival customer service.  So call this number for Ocean Players Club if you have played and want to see if you qualify for some freebees on your next cruise, since Carnival itself isn't willing to even give out the number.  888-672-2582

I wanted to make sure I passed this info on.  Good Luck and have lots of FUN cruising!

Well apparently the point system only works for the slots.  I don't play slots.  So at the tables they took my card and started 'rating' me I guess.  But I had to call in order to receive the package I qualified for.  If I didn't call, I wouldn't have received anything.

Yeah Philly that very well may have been the case.  Because I would think that any customer service rep that has been there almost any amt of time would at least have know to give me the Ocean Players # and say to call and ask them about it.

That's great that you called back and the price you wanted and were able to use the certificate.  I have a question for you...  Was it like a credit card voucher/certificate?  Because I was looking into cashing in some of my credit card points for some cruise certificates.  I'm worried about them getting credited correctly.  Thanks!!

Hi Becky, good info that I also learned from these forums, after 7 cruises and using the same PVP I received nothing for casino play, but after getting the number from here I called and got $100, free drinks in the casino and chocolate covered strawberries!!  What a nice surprise.  Last year I also got a flyer saying I would get 20% off of my cruise if I booked within a certain time period.  But, when I called my PVP I was told it is an either or thing, either I can use the 20% off or the past guest rate.   I don't know what is going on with the casino rates and give aways and the regular booking process but something isn't right.  Maybe I need another PVP Stick out tongue

Thanks to everyone who posted the info on the casino perks!!  It really worked on for me on this cruise.....  Ready to book another!!
