Also if you stay the night before some hotels have free cruise parking!

The Hilton does. Plus a free shuttle.

      Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!

Another option for anyone with a disabled vet in the group - the Port of Galveston parking is free for disabled vets.  All you need is your service connected disability card or the license tags on your vehicle.  We didn't find this out until our fourth cruise but it sure has saved us some money.

We cruised July 10, on a 7 day cruise on Conquest.

We used Galeston Park-n-Cruise and it was extremely easy, convenient, and reasonably priced.  http://galvestonparkncruise.com/

We booked online, and by doing so got the week for $60.00.

It's indoor parking and is literally right across the street from the terminal. I pulled in, showed the email confirmation, they found me on the list, and pointed out the door I was to pull into to park.  They had an attendant inside the building directing the parking and guiding people in.

I dropped my wife off with the luggage, went over, parked, and was back within 15 minutes. No problem, no lines, no headaches, no issues.

When we got back, we went directly to the car, put our bags in, got in and drove away.  Again, no problems, no lines, no issues.

And the car was out of the sun for the week, parked inside in the shade, so it wasn't 1,000 degrees inside when we got back.

We will definitely use them again next time.

Yes, I am a Pirate. 200 Years too late.

Lynn, we have never pre-paid.  DH just shows his disabled vet card at the gate and they direct us to the office.  He goes in and fills out a paper, pays and gets a receipt to put in the window.  They have us park in the handicapped spots by the office.  Shuttle stops and picks up and we are off.  Wish we had known about it the first few cruises.  It saves some money and GGriff, I agree the vets deserve it.
