I have seen several posts about bringing a door decoration... Are you able to hang something on the actual door or from the door knob?       Thanks in advance for your help!

We tape our decorations to the door. Then remove all the tape and decorations the last night of the cruise. The stewards have enough to do without the added chore of clearing off the decorations.

Hello - I'm a first time cruiser also.

I learned on cruisecritic.com that the doors are metal and you can use magnets to hang things.

I"m thinking of taking a sheet of paper and put out a pen and have people write whatever they want.  Maybe have some palm trees and fish cut outs on it make it tropical.  Didn't know the doors were metal was planning on taking some putty that comes off clean

Don't believe everything you read. I made a poster decoration and used magnets on the back. When we boarded Valor last Sunday I found the door was NOT metal. I ended up wedging the poster under the mailbox.

It actually worked out great because we could see it from the moment we turned down the hall from elevators, LOL

We plan on decorating our door also on the Sensation and will have a TEXAS map available for notes from fellow passengers. There will be other items too but hope others will sign our map and make it a memory we will never forget.

14 days till we cruise for the first time.....soooo excited!

Life is too short to have a bad day!

A cabin down the hall had a dry erase board on their door.   Every time we walked by, there was either an inappropriate drawing of a big richard or some cuss words.   Jus sayin...
