Ahoy there - Way early roll call for April 7 4/7 looking for water and camp carnival buddies

We are booked and fully paid! Aquaventure in Nassau, scuba and snorkel in DR, Pirate ship and snorkel in Aruba, and dolphin swim in Curacao. Also, 6 yr old world traveling son cant wait for Camp Carnival!!! Email if you want to chat about shore excursions, camp, etc.

Sadly I have found a total of 4 roll calls for our cruise and we are the only 3 who have posted... here is my original post:

On board will be me, my GF, her son 17, and daughter 12. He had so much fun in Club O2 on our April 2011 cruise he wanted his last family trip to happen before he turned 18. So this falls into their Spring Break.

Thinking we may stay on the boat in Nassau.  Need to start thinking about the other POC and what to do.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you before we set sail.

So here is our shore excursion schedule:

Nassau - Dolphin Cay at Atlantis 900 am Atlantis Beach the rest of day

Dominican - Dressel Divers for snorkeling 1030-130

Aruba - Mi Dushi Pirate Ship cruise 3:00-6:30

Curacao - Playa Cas Abou Beach - all day

My older boyz loved O2 last cruise. Only bringing the little man (6.5 years) on this one. He thinks Camp Carnival is the best part of the cruise!

Thinking about the steak house Friday night. Ever eaten at one? If so, thoughts?

Very sad that there is only 3 of us!!!!!  We have nothing booked as far as excursions  go yet. We are going to take a look at that next month. 94 more days and we r sailing on the Freedom. I was on the sister ship (glory) last year. There is just 2 of us. My friend ( who has never been on a REAL vacation before. She has never been on a plane either, could be an interesting vacation. Take care everyone!!!!

Thanks PEI gal. Please let us know if you find anything groovy to do in Curacao. We were going to do the dolphin adventure there; however, the facility has a ridiculously strict minimum height of 51" and there was no way we were going to risk a pool side measurement of our son and ruin his cruise. So for now, it's a beach day.

Anyone on this cruise a scuba diver?

Still trying to figure out what excursions to do.  This weekend might start looking for privately booked options.

So we found some interesting things when booking shore trips. The cruise lines buy up large blocks of them, so some might be sold out if you try to book directly. Also, the pricing is not consistent - some are WAY cheaper direct, and some are only $20 difference. Also remember to factor in ground transportation to the event site - not all private vendors provide transportation from the port. Another thing to factor in is dock or tender (anchor) port. I believe only the DR is a tender port which means it will usually take at least an hour from drop anchor to port in a small boat, including the waiting in line to get on the small boat.

hi.. I think we are going to book the dolphin thing.. funny why they have a height restrictions. I can't wait to go .. we are looking and hopefully booking our excursions next wed ( Jan 18 ). Just booked our flights the other day. Got our hotels booked for before and after cruise.. Getting excited now and it is like 84 days away .
