        Hello cruisers!

        Our flight from FLL after our cruise was cancelled, and we are now on a flight with an earlier return than I'd like. Our original booking was for a return after noon, and the Carnival site suggests not booking anything before 11:30 AM. Our return is at 11:15! Hmm

        We are VIPs, and are also not opposed to carrying our luggage off, so we shouldn't have too much trouble disembarking right away. We have been in and out of Port Everglades before without any trouble, although it's been a year or so since we have been to this port. I just wanted to see if anyone has any recent departure experiences to share--time you disembarked and such.

        I think you'll be okay with this and you should plan on self-debarking.  We sailed from Miami this past March and a Canadian family we met on the roll-call and hung out with quite a bit had a 10:45 flight from FLL.  They self de-barked and had SAS Transportation standing by to wisk them from MIA Cruise Port to FLL......And made it!!!  I would have been a basket case had this been me!

        If the airline changed your flight time, call and talk to them, when this happened to us, the airline let us change to a different flight for no charge, we even changed our return from Fort Lauderdale to leave from Miami

        Scott ~ The problem with the change, is that after they cancelled our original flight, I changed it to the 11:15 flight because there was no other choice until evening. They recently added a 1PM flight after I did that--Grrr! So now, if I call, I know they will tell us they can not do another change without a charge. As much as I travel, I should know better than to book so early...

(once, so be careful when you book the "change")

        Yes, I know the rules. As I said, I already made the rebooking change before the airline added the 1 PM flight--that's our problem. My airline status will be higher at the end of this year, so I may just wait until then to contact them again, if our 11:15 doesn't change before then.

        Our flight changed again, and now we have a worse outbound time Sad, but at least we got on the 1 PM return! Smile Guess I won't be posting how the 11:15 AM return worked out philly 1 ~ Hopefully, this will be their last schedule change.

        11:15 shouldn't be a problem.  And could be a bleassing.  The last 2 times we have left from FLL  flights were after 1pm  had to sait on floor untill noon.  At least at the Delta terminal,  depending on the number of ships in port that day,  you can't go thru sercurty untill 1 hour prior to your flight.

        Wow, I have never not been able to go through security until a certain time. In fact, I have often checked bags a few hours ahead of time. Do you know if that is that new in FLL, CDrescherRBL152? What did they do, kick you out of line after looking at your boarding pass?
