Nov. 26, 2012 cruise

Just booked this cruise, so I will start this forum off. Paul & Sherry are going on this cruise. I did the same cruise but with a backward itinerary on the Destiny in Oct. 2011.

Since you mentioned about this cruise, you already know where we are at before this, we are still thinking about. Gayle is also looking at one other cruise if we don`t do this one, the Ecstasy 5 day cruise back to Key West. We didn`t get a chance to do much there on our last Destiny cruise 3/31 - 4/9. Still up to her..

I'm going back to Jack's shack to see Jack and Janet so my GF can meet them. Plus, my GF hasn't been to Half Moon Cay yet either. Hopefully the weather will be better this time Alf.

Most deffinitely she has to meet Jack & Janet, along with Topher. Weather should be in or around the 80`s, + or - a few degrees, but the water temp is a good guess on swimming. I trust you all had a happy Thanksgiving.. Early that morning, like 8AM, we got a call from Ann, Gayles daughter in Lake Wales, inviting us for dinner. Yep, put our babies in the car, 1 1/2hrs later we were there. So today, I am cooking ours here at home. Take care and will talk again later..

On our upcoming cruise, you remember Noonan, CD & Shorty, ACD, they will be in Nassau 12/16 along with 4 other ships. We are going to meet with them for a few after we dock and things settle down a bit. Also, Ed Furby, who also was with us last time, he & his wife rebooked the same cruise again. We will see them as well. Ok, the "straw market." Talked to friends who just returned from several of the earlier Ecstasy cruises from here, nothing yet. The Nassau paper says around 12/15 to let about 400 start. We are there on the 16th and will see if open at all. I will let you know on whatever I find out. That Friday for starters is going to be very busy for us for at least the first hour there meeting with everyone. Then off to the running to get what we are going after and then head to Goldies by noon time for dinner. Talk to ya later. AL & GAYLE

I didn't get a chance to talk to Noonan, but let Shorty know that my GF and I will be on the Destiny next Nov. 26, 2012. Is she going to be on the ship at that time?

Just logged in just to see what is going on. Noonan, as far as I know, he is permanent on the Destiny. But next May or June, ck on Johns blog site at the new CD schedule, 6mo at a time. Shorty, when we spoke after the last cruise, she mentioned about going to another ship next year, I think she said "Legend." But Gayle keeps in contact more with her more than I. She will ask her when she sees in Nassau if we all meet at the Destiny at the gangway in the waiting area on board ship. They arrive at 7AM, us at 8AM. The girls are setting everything up for the 4 of us for about 10min. or so. We will know for sure next week, mon., tue., wed., we leave thursday and hopefully will meet friday. Will know next week. Was just talking to Michelle about Nassau. She was telling me about another big fire on Bay Street. From the old straw market tents, which were destroyed by hur. Irene, over to the new building, from the street near the water up to Bay Street, is completely burned down. Even the building that housed to museum. Will get pictures of there Friday while we are at the drug store across the street picking up our Christmas CD from our friend there.

Hannibal. Noonan, CD will still be on the Destiny for your cruise. Shorty is still in ACD training and when she completes, carnival will put her on another ship. Being the lowest on the totum poll now, she has no idea as to where. "IF" she can select what ship she may want, we suggested the Legend with us. Her comment, no guarantees on anything. Gayle will be in touch with her.
