Ok...I've been on BOTH the INSPIRATION and the PARADISE, when they were out of Tampa. I find it very interesting that the problems seem to appear on the Left Coast!! Paradise had HORRIBLE reviews when she was out there, notw the Inspiration is having horrible reviews. Now, Carnival does not just hire anyone who applies, and they ae flown/cruised to their respective ships, so it's not just "Left Coast Crew". That leaves Left Coast cruisers. Are you all so crazy? Is that why it's called "The Communist State of California? "Tree Hugger Oregon"? It appears that the westcoasters want to get their way, regardless. (My apologies to those who do not fit this profile, )
Hey now....careful how you paint with that broad brush.
I'm from California and I agree the OP is outta whack! (I know...you did apologize to those of us that are not crazy tree hugging liberals. LOL)
I have not been on a cruise yet (first time will be 8/20/12 on the Inspiration no less), but I am highly skeptical of that review. I am of the mindset that a cruise is what you make it and this OP is obviously uptight about things she and the cruise line have no control over. I mean, let's face it...some parents should not be parents, but produced offspring anyway, despite their lack of brain cells. If they choose to let their kids get as screwed up as them, far be it from me to stop them on a cruise cuz they got the rest of their lives to screw that kid up anyways. I can and will still have fun on my cruise, despite their dumb derriers.
I also just can't believe this sewer odor is so pugnant it makes anyone sick. Carnival would be out of business in no time if something that putrid was a continual problem. I have read complaints about it before, but it seems a little exaggerated. I guess I'll see next month.
My wife and I will be cruising together without our kids, but I don't think I expect everyone else to leave theirs at home just so we can be in a kid free environment. I kind of agree that if there were kids being allowed in the serenity area that Carnival should ask them to leave, but not having been on the ship yet, it's hard to know how the setup is and if that is even feasible. Still, as I said before, no one else's kids are gonna ruin my cruise. I'm a big guy, so I'll just scare them away anyway. HA!
Bottom line is, OP needs to relax a little and not worry so much on other people's business. If he/she concentrated on having a good time as much as they did in their fault finding, assuming its a true review, then i don't think these issues would have been a deal breaker. Its all what you make it and how well you can go with the flow.
Just my two cents.....
