Being on Glory a few Years ago might not help now, but I do know back then all the Staff was Excellent. We were treated with respect, niceness, and felt they were there to serve us at the drop of a hat the whole 7 day cruise. Someone might have had a bad personal experience with and individual. Or might have felt they were not treated the same as everyone else, or weren't getting enouph Attention. From what I recalled we were always greeted with a smile, and an hello Sir or Mam`m. The ones who knew our names called us by Mr. and Mrs Gray the entire cruise, or if we asked them to call us by our first name they did as we began to know them.
If you don’t want to get to know the staff members serving you, they will give you your space and respect your wishes of not trying to get to know you or making it less personal. As far as things to do both of you kids will more likely do as the other poster just said find friends there own age group and hang out. There is more than enough things on board the ship for teens and young adults to do. That is not including the shows, and multiple activities going on, for them not to you and them to participate in, and have fun doing as a family, with there new friends, or by themselves. Like have said many time you make your own cruise and they will too. If they get BOARD, that its there own fault for not planning, or wanting to do anything, there is always TV in the Cabins. There are a hundred things at one time going on that they can do.
There is also the O-2 Club on the ship for them to hang out and there is a Teens only dance that happens aboard most of the ships.
Hope this helps
