We weren't planning on doing an excursion in Victoria, but I have to suggest the one we ended up doing!
We were approached once we got off the ship by someone from Victoria Pedicab Co. We were able to get a tandem bike, so that we could sit 2 in each seat, and we absolutely loved it! Our guide was so knowledgeable, and took us down a lot of back streets that other tours can't go on. We were able to see lots of historical homes and sites. We went through a park, saw a bald eagle's nest, and even heard a blue heron and eagle try to scare each other off. The guide had an ipad with lots of historical pictures on it to give us more detail. It was beautiful to see the city at night, especially the Parliament building. Make sure you get some chocolates at Rogers!
The best part was the guide himself, he had us laughing so hard, he reminded me a lot of Robin Williams. My 11 yr old son was almost crying from laughter.
When people ask my kids what the best part of their cruise to Alaska was, they say this tour. We now tell them to say something about Alaska first, and then mention that this was their favorite thing in Canada!
