Checked in at 11:30 last night prior to our 7 day on the Liberty. Our reservation could not be honored as our King room had been given away earlier in the day. We had no choice but to take a room with 2 full beds (at a discounted rate). Since it was too late to start a search for another hotel we took the room. This room had none of the amenities advertised (fridge, pillow top or microwave).
Prior to checking out I spoke to the boss at the front desk. She explained there were circumstances beyond their control so our room was given away. Construction workers had cut a cable shutting down internet and phones and basically forced them to run the hotel manually and giving out rooms first come first serve.
The explanation was not given as an excuse and was followed up with her offer to refund all charges for the night. The point of this post is to say....La Quinta Airport East had a tough day but didn't hesitate to make things right. Cudos are deserved.
Woooohooooo more money for DOD's.
