How much are the c;amshell umbrellas to rent at Half Moon Cay? Do they charge by the day or hour? Can you rent one from the ship or only once you get on the island?

If you rent snorkel equipment there............. do you just swim out from the beach? Is the snorkeling as good as one of the excursions where they take you out on a small boat to snorkel?

Log on to carnival. com, go to shore excursions and with your booking number, it will show you the actual price of the clamshells and other excursions. As far as I know, since the cruise line owns the island, they are the only game in town on Half Moon Cay.

Found it, but it doesn't give a price, just says "$" per hour. They can't possibly charge $20 per hour for them.

Ensure that you are logged in....it will show you the actual price if you are logged in with your booking number. I hear they are between $50-75/day and are the first to go! Those and the cabanas....

The cabana is the way to go, they were 200.00 if i remember correctly, up to six people, raft, snorkel equipment, fruit, chips and salas, sodas and water were delivered to it, there is air condition also. My husband likes the beach but can not stand the heat for a long time and the cabana made it so he could enoy the whole day. Also the waiters alway came by for drinks. Enjoy your day it is a BEAUTIFUL place. Calmshells are mixed among the lounge chairs and people end up walking in front of them on there way to the bar and beach games.

Can you rent them online like you can book the excursions?  I looked and didn't see anything on there but thought maybe I wasn't looking in the right place.
