My wife and I were on Fascination 1 1/2 years ago, it had just come out of remodel! We loved everything aboutThe Fascination! The food, the service, the entertainment, and did I mention the food! lol Seriously we took the fascination out of Miami at that time! Sine then it has been leaving from Jacksonville! We liked the first cruise on The Fascination so much we are going again, on October 31, 2009, Halloween (Spooky Cruise) lol By then you will know for your self how much you will like it! Please post an update to let me know how it was! I am sure you will have a great cruise on The Fascination! Take care and have a Blast! Happy Cruising!

Thank you so much for the quick response!  Im sure we will have a great time...I do have a question about the pool though.  Did you guys have any problems with their not being enough lounge chairs for everyone?  I will definetly post a review when we get back Big Smile

Anyone else have some reviews or anything you can tell me about this ship!?

We cruised on this ship twice and loved it.  She is a beauty!!  The 1st time was in 2007 which was not too long after the multi-million dollar makeover done.  I can't say enough about how great the crew and staff was.  I actually think they like working on this ship.  It is gorgeous and the food in the dining room and the buffet on the Lido Deck was really good.  The lines never seemed to be long even tho the ship was filled to capicity both times.  We always had great service in the Dining Room.  We had food withdrawals for about 2 weeks as the food was sooo delicious.

We had a Balcony Suite on both times on the Verandah Deck and our daughter and son-in-law were with us on our 1st cruise and they had an Oceanview Stateroom on the Empress Deck and they really liked it too.  Actually, we went with them as they are the ones that got us "hooked on cruising."  We found it always clean and our Room Steward was awesome.  Room Service was was always prompt and we got our coffee around the time we asked for it too.

Everyone seemed to go out of their way to make sure our cruise was great.  We never seemed to have a problem finding lounge chairs on the Lido Deck either.  Cruising in September is when kids are back to school.  There were some but not like summer or spring break.  That's why we cruise in September or October.  I think there is a different Cruise Director now too.  We had Trevor and he was sooo funy but I also read that the new one is fantastic too.  We got a preliminary statement from our Room Steward after the 2nd day to check for an mistakes and to see how much money we had spent.  They don't have this available on the TV but it's easy to get.  They also have the flat screen TV too.  I loved the Duty Free Store and I love to shop.

We cruised out of Miami both times so I don't really know much about the Port in JAX.  I miss the Itinery this ship had to Cozumel as the time it docked in Cozumel was perfect and we really wanted to go back.  At the last minute when we arrived at the Port of Miami last September we were handed a letter stating the Itinery had changed to the Bahamas due to the hurricane that hit Galveston pretty bad.  We were not disapponted about that tho as we were just happy to be able to board the ship.  If you remember, last September there were hurricanes one after another.  Actually, it made that cruise more exciting going to Nassau.  All the research and plans made for Cozumel flew out the window and we did not know what to expect in Nassau.  We loved it and would also like to go back.   The Atlantis Resort was awesome and we had a wonderful time.

I don't think you will be disappointed crusing on the Fascination and hope that your cruise experience is as great as both of ours were.  I would not have any hesitations about cruising on this ship either.  I think  with every cruise, you will find some complaints and I read a few reviews and kept thinking they were not on the same ship we were.  We think this ship is fantastic.

Have a Great Cruise and a wonderful time!!  Paradise

We sailed in June and the ship was full! Lots of kids onboard! But Lounge chairs were easy to find on the Lido deck around the pool! Lots of great places to lounge in the sun or in the shade of an upper deck!Great places to relax and watch the Sunset! Ca,'t wait to Board her again! As was said earlier, sailing in Sept. or Oct.has a plus because most children are in school! You should have plenty of space in and around the pool! Have a Great Cruise!
