On this excursion you will:

• Experience the magic of the Mayan Riviera! Take a 45-minute ferry ride from your ship to Playa del Carmen located on the Yucatan Peninsula.
• Once there, you'll travel by jeep to see the timeless beauty of the regions diverse natural environments.
• Explore the cool dark mysteries of a Mayan cavern and cenote, eat lunch in an authentic beach-front restaurant and lie in the virgin white sands of a Caribbean beach.
• Board your 4x4 Jeep and join the caravan as we search out the hidden underground world of the lost Mayan civilization.
• Go back in time as you explore the mystical and ancient Chac Tun Cavern. Your bilingual guide will take you through the cave to discover its striking stalactite and stalagmite formations and inform you of its fascinating history.
• Have the unique opportunity to refresh yourself in the sacred waters of a cavern cenote (a pool fed by underground rivers) where Mayans swam to purify and rejuvenate themselves.
• Leave the jungle behind and head to the sea! You'll stop at a restaurant on beautiful Explora Beach for a delicious Mexican buffet.
• Then let loose on the serene white sands that surround you. You can play a game of volleyball, nap in a hammock or take a dip in the refreshing waters of the Caribbean.
• Let the magic of the Mayan Riviera embrace you.

Note: Guests wishing to drive one of the Jeeps must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid driver’s license. All Jeeps are stick shift.The vehicles cannot be purchased independently, they are not exclusive as there will be 4 guests per vehicle. Minimum age is 3 years (minimum age to swim in the caverns is 8 years).

Ferry ticket, soft drinks and a Mexican Lunch buffet are included.

Snorkeling gear can be rented at the cavern cenote for an additional cost.

Pregnant women and guests with heart or respiratory conditions or back/neck injuries are not permitted on this excursion. Due to the uneven walking conditions inside the cavern, this tour is not recommended for guests with difficulty walking or using stairs. This is an alcohol-free excursion.
