We all know that John Heald's faithful flock of bloggers care about Carnival cruising...a lot. But, on Friday, February 6, 2009, the popular Senior Cruise Director took lead as his legion of loyal bloggers made a difference in the lives of local residents of New Orleans. The day before boarding the "John Heald Bloggers Cruise" – aboard the newly refurbished Carnival Fantasy -- they partnered with the city’s Beacon of Hope Resource Center to clear debris and plant trees, helping to spruce up a neighborhood in New Orleans that sustained significant damage from Hurricane Katrina. Reservations are currently being accepted for both Bloggers Cruisesaboard the Carnival Dream on November 15th, 2009 and December 3rd, 2009. Participants must request fare code CPBO when booking either cruise to be included in the 2009 Bloggers Cruise events.
