Carnival Cruise Lines will do everything we can to keep you safe and free from all recognized hazards while with us.

PRINCIPLES

Carnival Cruise Lines believes that a good work environment and prevention of injuries is good business. We believe injuries and ill health can be prevented. Our goal is zero accidents.

No job or activity is worth risking injury. No job or activity will be performed without an appropriate risk assessment and taking preventative measures to avoid injury, including identifying proper and adequate protective measures.

Management will strive to continually improve safety performance thereby providing a safe working environment.

Integrate Occupational Health and safety into its decisions and provide for safe practices in ships’ operation by establishing safeguards against all identified risks.
Make necessary tools and resources available for everyone to do their job in a safe way.
Continuously improve safety management skills of personnel ashore and aboard ship, including preparation for emergencies.
Comply with mandatory rules, regulations, applicable codes, and take into account guidelines and standards recommended by the organizations, administrations,   classification societies, and maritime industry organizations.
Setting and reviewing Occupational Health and safety objectives.

Working safely is everyone’s responsibility.
Each individual shares in the responsibility for the safety of themselves and others.

We will promote off-the-job safety for our employees. Carnival Cruise Lines cares about the safety and well-being of our employees, and will endorse safety and wellness programs. Master has overriding authority and responsibility. Carnival Cruise Lines recognizes that in emergency situations, it may be necessary for the
Masters onboard to make decisions and take action which deviates from the company rules and procedures to ensure the safety of the vessel.
