Hi, I live in Tampa and I'm planning to take a cruise leaving from Port Canaveral. Does anyone know the right way to get there? is it hard to get there? or would you suggest me to stay at any hotel?

you're almost a straight b-line to cape canaveral.  you don't need to stay there b/4 unless you want to.

Just take I-4 to the Beach Line (528).

The road is actually called the Bee-line. Cross Merritt Island and stay left to the port.

There is a toll road, the 417. southern and eastern bypass arround orlando. From tampa you can pick it up about disney area, then just past orlando international airport the 528 (beachline)exit to the port. maybe 45 miles / minutes from the last toll to the port. If you have a sunpass, will be worth the expence of bypassing orlando. The first exit into the port comes up fast. That is the one for cruise ships. The sensation is at #5 on the northside. The glory is to the right, goes past disney's, and has a parking garage after baggage drop off.

You are so right about the 417, I use it to get everywhere around Kissimmee and Orlando.  Makes life so much easier.
