We are thinking of the dune buggy and Beach exploration Excursion but I would love reviews or ideas if you know of fun things to do. Taking our 15 & 17 year old sons.

In Cozumel we are going to do Race Fantastique and Parrasell but still not positive in Progresso yet.

There doesn't seem to be much fun in Progreso from everything I have read.  I plan to try to rent a car and have a day out and about, but then my husband and I know how to be safe in a foreign country.  If we can't rent a car (apparently the rental place keeps irratic hours), We may take the bus to Merida and do a tour there.  Good luck!

We did the Progreso Beach Resort Break and it was very nice and relaxing by the pool.

The beach isn't the best but the resort is very nice with 2 pools, and all inclusive food and drinks.

They have banana boat rides, kayaks, and massages for a fee.

AutoProgreso offers the same Beach Break (at the Reef Resort) for less. The vendors are right there at the pier to hook you up, just after you exit the Duty Free shop.
