WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE ETCASY/ELATION, ARE THEY THE SAME SHIP ?

Not the same ship - but kind of like twins.  After Katrina, the Ecstasy was moored in New Orleans for months and used for living quarters and she's just coming back into service.  I understand she's been completely refurbished.  I sailed on her the end of 2003 and I'm really looking forward to sailing on her again.  But then again, I look forward to every cruise - and Carnival's my favorite.

My husband and I are sailing on 05-15-06 also. We sailed on the Ecstasy last year and had a great time. I'm hoping the Ecstasy has less problems than the Sensation has had out of dry dock. It will be back in service for about a month before we board, so hopefully all the glitches will be worked out by then. Looking forward to the refurbishment.

Not really sure, in a normal season, they may change ships inorder to service the other one.

Elaine, glad that you replied,  our group is very excited about the cruise.  Hope you are right about all glitches being worked out before we get on board.  I know that we will all have lots of great times anyway.

Ok heres the d/l, as someone said after Katrina, Ecstasy served as a housing place for people in need for homes. Elation then served as the substitute ship that was used for all the Ecstacy bookings as it served for the housing. It was released a few weeks ago that the Ecstasy would be going under a quick construction and should be open soon if not now, I do not know. But I am very sure it will be out for by 5/15, although they did change the name on the website for Ecstasy/Elation to just Ecstasy, so I would say its done its duty in New Orleans!

did the ecstacy have a teen club..i think its called like O2 or something like that
