We will be in this port in early March on the Spirit.  Would appreciate info on excursions offered here.  Looking at the Country Customs tour, but would appreciate any other info on other tours that were enjoyed.

We did not do the country customs tour, decided to go on the shorter, city tour.  It was ok, informative about the area...We also did the city tour in Acapulco.  We sailed at 4pm from San Diego.  Our favorite port was Manzanillo where we shared a taxi ride with our dinner table mates to spend the day at Las Hadas Resort.  It was a beautiful location.  The taxi ride was $10.00 each way and it was $30.00 per person at the gate.  We received vouchers in the amount of $30.00  each to pay for beverages and food while we were there. For us, it was a sufficient amount; we enjoyed the pool area and had a drink from the bar and a very nice lunch before we headed back to the ship.  One note, the cab driver at the pier spoke little English, but got us to Las Hadas just fine.  When leaving Las Hadas-they have taxis waiting to take people back to the port-the driver spoke English very well and gave us a mini tour of the area on our way back to the ship, which was enjoyable.  Carnival offers a tour to another resort in Manzanillo, but it was a lot more costly.  Have a great trip!
