Has anyone attended this?  I'm a first time cruiser and I just wanted to chill in a hammock with a corona at Progreso.  I keep hearing the beaches are dirty.  Is this true???

Corona Beach Club is right at the end of the long cruise pier....it is all shallow water with little current...and a fisherman's village mentality still since cruise industry is still not a real factor for the mayority. However starting at Corona Beach, you can walk on the beach for miles and there are other restaurants on the beach to visit if you prefer other atmophere...good luck!
