My family and I will be arriving at the terminal around noon on Monday for our cruise.  Should we(I) drop off the bags and then park or park and then take the bags with us?  We are in Cat. 12 cabin, does this have any effect on our bags getting to our room sooner?

You can do it either way - there will be porters standing around outside the terminal building but there will also be LOTS of traffic at that time of day so it would depend on what the guys directing traffic suggest.  There are places at the curb to pull over if you choose to stop and unload first but, if not, the parking is right across the street from the terminal building so it's not that far to walk.

I think it would be easier to drop off the luggage (and part of the family for peace of mind about luggage) and then park.  If you eventually park in a multi-level structure it would more awkward to bring the luggage down even with an elevator.

I don't know if the category gets your luggage sorted faster.
